Evelina Kazaryan is a Los Angeles–based artist, illustrator, and muralist who has been creating for as long as she can remember. Over the years, her work has taken many forms from delicate watercolor paintings and children’s book illustrations to bold murals that transform living spaces into something personal and meaningful.

She earned her degree in Illustration and Design from Art Center College of Design, and her creative path has led her through many different avenues, including set design, creative direction, and teaching art to children. Each of these experiences has shaped the way she sees and approaches her work today, but painting has always been her greatest passion.

For Evelina, the process of creating matters more than the final outcome. She pays close attention to her intuition, her gut, and her emotions as she paints, letting the experience guide her rather than focusing solely on the end result. That act of being present is what gives her work its sense of honesty and flow.

Much of her inspiration comes from nature, memory, and her Armenian heritage. She often weaves aspects of her culture into her art, whether through symbolism, subtle references, or the spirit of storytelling that is deeply rooted in her background. These elements, combined with her sensitivity to color and atmosphere, allow her to create pieces that carry both a personal narrative and a universal sense of beauty.

Her work, whether small or large-scale, is always about connection between herself, the process, the finished piece, and the people who encounter it.
